In the past decades, massive flooding and landslide events have occurred as a result of interacting stress agents. These geo-hazards pose a threat to local communities but also affect biodiversity in mountainous landscapes.
In this training, we want to approach this topic by a mixture of expert input talks and a role play. Students take the role of an environmental officer of a local community. They are asked to investigate a recent landslide, identify potential causes, and recommend necessary actions.
