International Investment Law and its Linkages to Climate Change

Discussion of international investment law and its linkages to other areas of law on the example of climate change. The talk discussed India's investment agreements and how they may affect India's climate change mitigation measures by allowing foreign investors to challenge them before international arbitral tribunals. It also discussed whether the current Indian IIA reforms sufficiently address these challenges.
