FWF – JSPS Bilateral Joint Research Seminar 'Methods and Perspectives in Historical Sociolinguistics: Research in Austria and in Japan Compared'

The research seminar will make the research results from different disciplines (and the different countries) known to each other which researchers from the respective other disciplines (and coun-tries) were previously not familiar with, either due to language barriers and/or due to a lack of exchange between researchers from different philological disciplines and different scholarly traditions. It will present a forum to compare research results and exchange experiences and views on corpora and methods in historical sociolinguistics and thus help to advance future work in the different philological disciplines, but also in a comparative perspective.
