Galileo-based GMES real-time emergency support testbest, real time exercise and development of services

Projektdetails

Beschreibung

The objectives are: - to synchronise user requirement analyses (from GMOSS, LIMES, MAGIC, RTGA, ORCHESTRA, RESPOND, GMES core services, and national and regional initiatives) in cooperation with involved end users (three umbrella organisations, seven fully embedded First Responder organisations, several local partners as observers and interviewees) - to define, develop and validate pre-operational services, which will exploit full capabilities of satellite and in-situ technologies in two-way communication to achieve maximum interoperability of the services and to enrich the GMES services development with early Galileo technology testing - to validate and verify the developed system through two real-time exercises (GREX’10 GATE Berchtesgaden and radiation safety test area Seibersdorf, Lower Austria) and one computer simulation exercise to test and validate the Galileo-based GMES services with a focus on fire brigades and NBC threats - to disseminate and exploit the results regionally (establishment of a GateGIS region) and internationally The overall aim of G2real is to develop and test new pre-operational GMES services in the field of emergency and disaster management, and rescue operations through the integration of software and hardware developments by 13 partners from three countries (AUT, GER, ESP) and by directly testing and utilising Galileo navigation possibilities.
