Description

In partnership with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF, Doctors Without Borders), the Christian Doppler laboratory for geospatial and EO-based humanitarian technologies (CD lab GEOHUM) established at the University of Salzburg explores newly emerging technologies at the interface of satellite Earth observation (EO) and geospatial information (GI) to support humanitarian operations. This workshop will offer methodological insights into the CD lab’s research and share practical experiences from MSF’s operational GIS support and highlight the role, challenges and effective use of EO and GI in humanitarian response.
