Research interests
Dr Holger Faby has been employed as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Social Geography at the University of Salzburg, Austria, since 2018. His academic expertise lies in the field of social scientific geography. He studied Geography at the University of Trier and was awarded his doctorate in 2003 by the Technical University of Dresden, Germany.
His research focuses on qualitative-interpretative methods and the integration of visual media into empirical social research. He places particular emphasis on videography and auto-videography, as well as on the presentation of research findings in documentary formats. Dr Faby is also responsible for the departmental podcast „Sichtbar Hörbar“.
