Personal profile

Research interests

Changes of high mountain landscapes manifested through landform changes, dynamic sediment movements and the related consequences for society are a focus in my scientific work. In my research I combine geomorphological quantitative and qualitative field methods with shallow geophysics and GIS and remote sensing analysis. My teaching activites include various field and lab courses on geomorphological and geological techniques and GIS applications in geomorphology, lectures on geomorphology, natural hazards and risks and field trips.
