Description
The socalled Giotto methodology forms the foundation of MoDECS. The Giotto methodology represents a systematic attempt to decompose the difficult task of control systems development: domain-specific (control) concerns are separated from platform-specific (implementation) concerns, and time-related concerns are separated from data-related (functionality) concerns.
The MoDECS project aims at delivering a radical inovation in the model-based construction of distributed embedded control systems. It sould significantly contribute to a shift from a platform-oriented towards a domain-oriented, platform-independent development of composable, distributed embedded control system.
