Abstract

This thematic report is the result of a study carried out in Austria as part of the research project “Kids’ Digital Lives in COVID-19 Times” (KiDiCoTi) coordinated by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC). The focus is on media education in Austrian families during the first Covid-19 lockdown in spring and early summer 2020. The report is mainly based on a quantitative survey of 510 families with children between 10 and 18 years old. Additional information on younger children come from a qualitative survey of 10 families with children between the ages of 6 and 10.
