Abstract

SDGVisionPath wants to co-create transformation pathways for future visions regarding the achievement of the SDGs poverty and inequality (SDG1/10), decent work and economic growth (SDG8) and climate action (SDG13).
It will apply and connect stakeholder knowledge integration processes with qualitative and quantitative modelling approaches. We thereby combine the application of “Communities of Practice (CoP)'' for stakeholder and expert collaboration with two models, specifically suited to address SDG interactions and for integrating stakeholder and expert knowledge: On the one hand, a quantitative system dynamics simulation model, iSDG, which encompasses complex interactions between all SDGs. And on the other hand, a qualitative inequality and poverty assessment model, IPAM, which can evaluate conflict potentials driven from issues of inequality and poverty. Four workshops will be organized, involving the application of creative art-based methods, storytelling, and scenario development as well as interactive causal
loop diagrams. Such a holistic systems thinking approach, considering stakeholder perspectives and values and complementary modelling approaches, can help identifying more robust transformation pathways.
